I was born in 1970 in Johore Bahru. And growing up in those days was an absolute joy when Internet,Smartphones were still just a concept. My mom worked at the Blood bank at the Hospital and we stayed at the Goverment Housing at Jalan Haji Yaacob close by. The times indeed have changed. We had an Indian family as our neighbor and we always always got along just fine. I had friends of all races and wore shorts to primary school. It wasn't a big deal. Malay girls didn't wear any tudung then and after my morning schooling,in the afternoon I attended my Religious School at Bukit Zaharah. The teachers were educators back then and took pride in their profession. When you caused trouble, spanking and caning was par for the course. The slide to Mazism....

Malaysia it seems is sliding dangerously towards a version of Nazism which I term as Mazism due to the constant and unrelenting use of race, religion, royalty. As with the Nazi's the new mushrooming of groups, NGO's etc promotes Malay pride (Master Race), anti jews, anti chinese and expresses dissatisfaction with things like  ICERD  without the need for proper dialogue and consultations. Sound familiar? And the authorities are slow to identify and curb such extremists views and allowing for these pressure groups with nefarious motives and intentions to gain traction and support throughout the malay citizens. What are they thinking? I am all for freedom of expression but when a group of people can threaten chaos if things doesn't go their way well....need I say more? Perhaps someone has to get hurt before we realise that this is a problem. And this is supposedly a New Malaysia. A Voter's Plea

Message From A Malaysian Voter I am 47 years old, married male and a father of 3 kids. I run a small cafe in a small town that most of you probably never heard of before. I have never voted before and will be voting for the first time this next GE. The reason is because I feel that NOT voting this time around with all that I see happening to my country would be a terrible mistake! I feel that even if my vote will probably not change the dire conditions we are in at least my conscience will be clear. I am powerless otherwise to effect change when half the country seems to be filled with idiots, bigots, racists and religious zealots who have nothing better to do than sow turmoil and divide us further as citizens of this great country. I feel powerless and lost and agitated by what I read, hear and watch. WTF is happening is anyone’s guess.
